Guiping Reunion

The Guiping Girl Reunion was over Labor Day 2013. All ten girls from our March 2005 travel group to China were there. It is wonderful seeing these young ladies blossom. 

Senior class

School was going to start soon for Logan's senior year, so a visit from the group was in order. Brandon Lane was rooming with Logan at their apartment in Waukegan and was performing at Six Flags as Foghorn part time and also as host part time. A good majority of the senior class was able to visit the guys for the day in July 2013. 

New girl in town

Well, not exactly a new girl in town, but......

Shortly after Logan moved back from Gurnee around Aug 9, 2013, there seemed to be a little spark igniting between he and Maddy Johnston. As I write this almost a year after they began dating, they are still together. What a wonderful young woman. We have watched Madison grow up from a tiny little infant in the Grace Church nursery into a lovely young lady.

More Six Flags from 2013

I'm only an entire year behind on the blog. Life gets busy. We enjoyed many trips in June and July 2013 visiting Logan in Gurnee. It was odd not having him around the house all the time!

Summer fun

Still pretty chilly and we have had so much rain. We have managed to relax and have some fun so far. I love having the kids home for the summer...except Logan who is still enjoying his work at Six Flags.

Dance Recital

Another school year had come and gone. Anna finished Elementary 2 Ballet, Tap and Jazz. She had a recital last weekend and here are some pics from it.

Lazy Memorial Day Weekend

We have been pretty lazy since the family reunion. It is really nice being home, enjoying the family and relaxing.

Logan at Six Flags

A friend took pics of Logan today in his show. Love it. Can't wait to visit! The girl in the first pic is Shanna See, who is in show choir with Logan and her brother is one of his roommates.

Meeting baby Brynzlee

The Roes came to the Schmidt's so we got to meet baby Brynzlee, who is 5 weeks old. Cute!

New specs

Anna's vision had changed quite a bit, so we got her new glasses. She was amazed at how well she can see now.

Brandon's honor ceremony

Brandon had some great grades again this year and received honors in all classes except Alegebra and PE. PE doesn't count apparently. He is a Presidential Scholar and was nominated for the American Legion Award. He had a fantastic year and matured so much. He enjoyed playing in the high school combo and made Swingsations as a singer/dancer and also a combo member for Les Femmes. Congrats B. We are so proud!
