Summer fun

Still pretty chilly and we have had so much rain. We have managed to relax and have some fun so far. I love having the kids home for the summer...except Logan who is still enjoying his work at Six Flags.

Dance Recital

Another school year had come and gone. Anna finished Elementary 2 Ballet, Tap and Jazz. She had a recital last weekend and here are some pics from it.

Lazy Memorial Day Weekend

We have been pretty lazy since the family reunion. It is really nice being home, enjoying the family and relaxing.

Logan at Six Flags

A friend took pics of Logan today in his show. Love it. Can't wait to visit! The girl in the first pic is Shanna See, who is in show choir with Logan and her brother is one of his roommates.

Meeting baby Brynzlee

The Roes came to the Schmidt's so we got to meet baby Brynzlee, who is 5 weeks old. Cute!

New specs

Anna's vision had changed quite a bit, so we got her new glasses. She was amazed at how well she can see now.

Brandon's honor ceremony

Brandon had some great grades again this year and received honors in all classes except Alegebra and PE. PE doesn't count apparently. He is a Presidential Scholar and was nominated for the American Legion Award. He had a fantastic year and matured so much. He enjoyed playing in the high school combo and made Swingsations as a singer/dancer and also a combo member for Les Femmes. Congrats B. We are so proud!

Field trip

I spent the day visiting the IL State Museum, Old Capitol and Lincoln Law Offices in Springfield with 3rd grade. It was a neat field trip.

Logan moves

We moves Logan into his apartment on Friday. He came home Sunday to finish a few days of school and will head back to Gurnee on Thursday afternoon.

Day at Six Flags

Logan had rehearsal for a day a couple weeks ago, so we played at Six Flags for a day. Barry and Brandon were brave and road some pretty wicked rides. I need to work up to those a d have since been back and did ride some. I will never ride the one pictured, however.

The Kick N Up building is where Logan will perform.

Brandon again

We went to my parents' house to celebrate with a cook out with Barry's parents. Had to make his favorite ice cream pie.

Happy 14th Birthday, Brandon!

Hard to believe that Brandon is 14. It has fine so fast, but honestly, he is so mature this year that he seems 15 and ready to get that permit. I have no hesitations about him driving! He is a great and super kid! We are so very proud of him, his zest for life and he is such a well rounded kid! Happy birthday, bud!

Cowgirl/glasses

Anna was a cowgirl in her school 3rd grade program. I hated missing the program, but Barry and I were in Chicago for his work.

Anna's eyes have changes again quite a bit, so new glasses were in order.

Logan turns 17/Six Flags

April 17 was Logan's Golden birthday. Happy birthday to a great son. Hard to believe they little boy who was so difficult with his tantrums and fits and lets face it....he was quite a challenging to parent.....has turned into a wonderful young man. We are so proud of him.

Logan was asked by Dwight Jordan ( his choreographer and also ours in high school) to work at Six Flags this summer. He will work in the contemporary country show. Yeeeehaw!! Should be fun to watch. He hd never been a country boy, but he will do great.

Quite the look

Today I took Anna and Justin to a movie. Afterwards they decides to play in the snow.

Easter time

We decided to declare Spring even if there is a ton of snow on the ground. Anna and I made cookies today since the kids are off school all week. The guys always help ice them:).

Snow again

While I was in Lombard, the guys at home got 13 inches of snow. Lombard didnt get anything. A few flurries. I wasn't sure we would make it home on time, but the raids were fine. Spring can come anytime now. Snow this late in March is nuts.

Meeting Robin and Kailee

Anna and I are meeting Robin and Kailee for a couple days while the guys stay at home with the pending snow storm. We are at the hotel swimming now. We mostly hung out in the hotel and did a little shopping. The girls would rather make duck tape creations than shop. :)
