A whiz by of a weekend. Brandon started soccer yesterday and my dad took him to his game while I cleaned the house. I had a ton of things to do around here before going to my Grandma's at 11:00. Mom, Julie and Ashleigh, Anna and I all went down to join Grandma and her friend, Gracie for lunch at a mexican restaurant. Grandma wanted to treat us all for our birthdays. It was a nice girl day. Of course, Anna was proud to declare that it was a girls only day, so now the boys are wondering when it is BOY day at Grandma's. Mom asked me to bring my camera for our day.

Our Little Friends
We enjoy watching our little hummingbirds buzz by on our deck. They are quite active and appear to fight as they boot the other one out of the way. We have three that we know of enjoying our nectar.

Bus Time/haircut
I got brave and finally got to the haircut place for Anna. She got 3 inches cut off yesterday since we were being cautious and then Barry got home and thought she needed it shorter. So, we ran down and got another 2 inches cut off. It is cute and Anna was just thrilled. I was tired of the ratty look.
Brandon and Anna had been riding to school with me since I had to be there early, but now I am letting them ride the bus to school. Anna was so excited to have her first bus ride! Brandon was a big help getting her on the bus,but did not want her in his seat. I already requested that they do NOT ride together anyway. Just wouldn't work.
The kids are still all enjoying school. As for me, I am enjoying my 6 weeks of teaching, but I would be thrilled if it were about 3 weeks shorter! I am pooped and wallpaper removal in my dining room is calling me!

First Day of School 2009!
WOW....it has been such a CRAZY summer in every way possible. I think moving does that to a person. We got back from vacation and the boys got horrible cases of swimmers ears. We were at the dr. the first day back. Brandon could NOT get rid of it and finally today he was cleared. He is dying to swim if Grandpa hasn't closed the pool for lack of use! It has been pathetic around here with these ears!
I got my Resource Room up and going with the help of the regular teacher and the aide. I will work until Sept 25 at the same school as Anna. This is the room I normally work in and have here and there since Logan was in first grade.
Today I sent my oldest off to 8th grade, Brandon to 5th Grade and my BABY to kindergarten. It is hard to beleive that she is old enough to be going off to school full time. It seems just like yesterday that Brandon was in kindergarten, Logan in third grade and Anna was that teeny tiny baby just home from China! Where does time go? Anna and I only had to go to kindergarten together for 30 min, so she had a very short school day. She did help me in my room for a while in the morning, too. Tomorrow everyone goes for a full day! And me, too! I am pooped already. It wasn't easy getting us all out the door by 7:30, but we did it!
And the kids let me take the usual first day of school pictures. It was so strange not having the old front yard to take the same picture in, so we had to figure out what to do at the new house. Brandon posed, as usual and Logan could have cared less! TEENS!
