Bet She’an National Park

Even though it was raining some, it was such a neat place to wander through. I love anything with temples and arch ways !

2Samuel says “Look his the mighty warriors have fallen! Look how the weapons of war have been destroyed!”

As the oldest archeological site in Israel, it was over 5000 years old before being destroyed in an earthquake in 746AD. The location of this is important because it guards the Jezreel Valley and because of what they have found we could walk among the entire thing (20% excavated so far) this was one of the the second place we were able to see mosaic tiles...still in tact. Pillars, arch ways, the whole city (well, 20%,  bit this place was huge and it had a theater had been restored, only recovered. You could see toilets in one spot like at the Hippodrome. The engraving were astounding. In the theater area I feel like there may have been stalls for animals, but I need to check.
